We are proud of our high-quality personalized wooden signs at the Cedar Sign Company. We are proud of our 60-year legacy of carving wooden signs for home. We are proud of our custom wooden sign designs. We are proud that we exclusively carve all of our wood signs from Western Red Cedar - REAL Western Red Cedar. We are proud that the wood signs we designed in our first year are still there, weathering the Midwest's best efforts to shame us - outdoors. We are proud that most of our customers continue to refresh the proprietary finish we provided on the outdoor custom wood signs we carved for them. This is not only because of Cedar's stunning natural beauty but also because this material is incredibly durable and long-lasting. We are proud that a wood sign of Western Red Cedar can last for decades, making it a wise investment for your home or business.
We are proud of our team's tenure and design skills. We offer many styles, shapes, and sizes of wooden signs; however, our real genius is collaborating with our customers who want assistance designing to their visions - a genuinely custom wood sign! All of our wood signs are "custom wooden signs." There is nothing off-the-shelf. Our sign designers will offer full-color proofs, rendered-to-scale, of every project - as many as needed, for our customers to know exactly what their ideas will look like. What is especially humbling is that we have made legacy name plaques as hangers below our family name or welcome signs for all of the kids' names, grandkids' names, and pets' names. We have literally kept the size, shapes, and fonts used on our original signs the same for each customer so they can continue their personal legacies -- and the legacies of their children's children's family name signs!
Here is another thing we are proud of: We started our craft long before there was an internet or a Google review. Our reviews were delivered in person, by phone, by greeting card, or even better yet, by coffee and a doughnut! We knew every one of our customers by their first name - still do, in many cases - because of their families and their friend's repeat business. If any of those folks were asked where they got their wood sign, they would flip it over and show the CEDARSIGN brand on the back. We are proud to be on our third branding iron, too!
