A US State Carved Wood Sign is a perfect family name, address, and welcome sign. They make great camping and RV signs to set out when vacationing. We offer each state in two block sizes, 11" X 16" and 14 X 20". With 50 shapes, it sometimes works out a little illogically. Regardless, we ensure your state's shape is prepared from a block mass equivalent to the surface area necessary to provide the value based on the shape ratio.
NOTE: We must take some license with the shapes because of board weakness across the grain in some state profiles. In addition, some states are unavailable for the same reasons - New Hampshire, for instance.

All of our carved wood signs are crafted from Real Western Red Cedar with beautiful, fine-grained fiber and very tight knots - if at all. When we craft signs that are 11" tall or less, we engrave them from 3/4" Cedar, and the signs taller than 11" are custom made from 1-1/4" laminated (like a butcher block or a bowling alley lane) Cedar for additional strength and stability. Our hand-crafted, engraved wood signs will keep their warm colors ranging from mellow amber, reddish cinnamon, and rich sienna browns if you refresh the original cedar oil-based finish with our exclusive Cedar Finish Refresher.
