All of our custom wood signs are carved from wood - Real Western Red Cedar with beautiful, fine-grained fiber and very tight knots - if at all. When we craft signs that are 11" tall or less, we engrave them from 3/4" Cedar, and the signs taller than 11" are custom made from 1-1/4" laminated (like a butcher block or a bowling alley lane) Cedar for additional strength and stability. Our hand-crafted, engraved wood signs will keep their warm colors ranging from mellow amber, reddish cinnamon, and rich sienna browns if you refresh the original cedar oil-based finish with our exclusive Cedar Finish Refresher.
